Alan Russo understands that finding your direction is crucial for both external and internal growth in business. The external form consists of the process of asking questions and receiving answers for you, the client, to make important decisions for your company. The internal direction is the employee knowledge base allowing your company’s growth. I have used both my interest in technology and problem-solving capabilities along with work experience to satisfy both to these forms. In today’s landscape having the ability to be adaptable in work location is increasingly important.
For the external direction process, I Identify information with open-source research of Government Contracting (GovCon) applications. I have assisted Government Contractors, both large and small business, with the identification of contracting opportunities in order to fill their pipeline. This research includes the ability to identify incumbent contractor research, identifying possible future procurement (3- 5 years out) using historical contract activity as well as competitive intelligence research using open Federal Government procurement databases supporting Business Development professionals with their Government Contracting procurement research.
For the internal direction, I helped grow a sole proprietorship into a small business that was purchased by an international corporation. I used my research abilities and interest in Information Technology to contribute in the creation of an online opportunity management application. With my knowledge of Federal Government open-source applications, I collaborated with web developers, opportunity research analysts, and end users (the clients) to contribute to the development of the application. The result was an application that was used for 15 years, cut research and data entry times by 50 percent, thus increasing company efficiency and revenue for both employer and subscribing companies with the increased exposure to procurement opportunities.
Additionally, TOSR Co. believes in constantly expanding our horizons and embracing new technologies. One area of particular interest to us is Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically prompt engineering. We recognize that AI can leverage the skill sets we have developed throughout my career, including GovCon research, customer care, and technical support.
